Multi-Tasker

I am a okay multi-tasker. I can chat while working and listen to music! But that is all I can do at the same time! If I do more things than that then I will get distracted! And I

can only do one assignment at once! If I do two of them then I don't give my best work!

I get a lot of distractions while I am completing assignments! Like chatting, E-mail, other assignments, interesting books etc... But when I completely focus then I can put my best effort into it!

Some strategies I use to avoid multi-tasking are listening to music! It blocks out all the other sounds and I can focus on my work! Although listening to music and working is technically multi-tasking but it works to block off all the other distractions!

My mom hates multi-tasking! Because she thinks its really distracting! On the other hand my dad loves multi-tasking. Because he thinks its a waste of time not doing multi-tasking. Because he is extremely organized. So he can do 4 different things at once! My mom finishes one thing at a time! Only sometimes she does multi-taking! But my dad is like on the phone, on his laptop, writing stuff down etc... But I don't really use the computer that much so I don't need to multi-task that much! So my parents don't really have a problem with me multi-tasking or not multi-tasking!

Ipads are IMPORTANT!!!

We should get ipads for school because we can use them for many things! Not just one thing! Like our history text book! It is only for history/humanities. But on the ipad we can use them for math, humanities, science, IT and any other class that we need computers in! It is also a lot less lighter than our textbooks. One text book alone makes my bag really heavy! Imagine two text books! We will be hurting our backs! Then we will be unhealthy children! Then we will not be able to pay attention to studies! So we really need ipad! Heavy backpacks lead to most teen injuries! So that is why ipads are important!!!

My first app choice is 'Touch Pet Dogs'. In that game you can make a virtual dog and you have to take care of it. There are lots of breeds you can choose from and you can even adopt robot dogs! You can dress your dog and play with it in your backyard! You can get your dog jobs like doctor, rockstar, police officer..... You can earn energy, agility, chasing, water, happiness and many more points. Then when you have enough money you can adopt another dog! Or you could buy your dog something. I would use this app because it will make me more responsible! I would have to look after another kind of living thing. Also I have always wanted a dog and was never allowed one! So my dog Lizzie fills in for a real dog.My second app is called 'Touch Congas'. In that app you can make your own conga music and you can make your own conga band! I wanted to get this app because first of all it is free! And it will help me with music! Maybe I will like playing music more after I use this app. And it will be fun making up my very own crazy beats!My last app is 'ireading HD'! I can download book! It is my own portable library! Then I won't have to borrow books and be worried about the due date! And I won't have to spend money on new books!

Want to take quality pictures? Want to play around with them? Want to morph together two different pictures? Take quality pictures now! This app could be used in Photography, Plugged in or anything with photography included.The color would be more defined and after you take the picture you could change it around with special effects! Like make the whole background gray and one thing in the middle that is colorful. You could make a green sky and blue trees. You could morph two different pictures together. And then add more special effects to it if you want to of course! It is a great way to take quality pictures and play around with them. My apps would be called 'Swoosh!'. I would like to make mine free because if it was paid then I won't be able to use my own app! Copyright Pratiti!

Stop Motion Animation

Hi people! The youtube video on top of what you are reading is MY stop motion animation youtube video. Or you can refer it to as SMAYV (stop motion animation youtube video)! This was a BIG assignment! The Video is called Life Just as we Know it. I totally loved thinking of ideas. Like people say the sky is the limit! Camila (my partner) and me had a lot of fun thinking of ideas. First we thought we could do a thing called 'the cool shoes'. Yeah.... Sorry I was thinking of how fun it was. Well since we didn't do that idea you must have figured out that 'the cool shoes' didn't work out. But you should really try doing a stop motion it is a lot of fun. I you don't know how look it up on google. And if you want examples look it up on youtube. There are lots. The really cool one is the t-shirt wars. But I think that frame by frame (the app we used to do the SMAYV) was really bad. Not the best kind of app for a school project. And to add on to the app. It keeps quitting unexpectedly. Then all your work gets deleted. And then you have to start over. Which is why Camila and me had started Life Just as we Know it 8 times. But if Camila and me were given more time..... Okay much more time! We would gladly work on our stop motion more. We would take more time and make way cooler.

Viet: I thought that it was cool that you actually did something other than human stop motion, because after we started doing it, everyone else started doing it as well -.-' one thing I could say about this was that you played it way to fast, so I probably spent half the time thinking 'Wot?' Also (my opinion) you should reverse the picture right side up (and yes you can do that in Frame-by-Frame. All in all 7/10.

Cameron: The stopmotion was way too fast, it also confused me. I mean, all I saw really was a pen drawing stickfigures and writing some words which I never was able to read because the film was too fast! The film did not have much of a story, from what I saw, no offense, but I will give it a 5.5/10. Sorry, but I am being completely honest.

New York Times Movies

My first movie is about a new kind of skirt. It is made to look like it is blowing in the wind. The effective of this movie is to show how much fashion has changed. There are so many different kinds of fashion styles. The multimedia used in this movie is music, audio and pictures. I want to know which fashion company came up this design. The images this movie evoked are happiness and determinedness.

My second movie is about a war. When a patrol got ambushed by the rivals. The patrol got away but they had accidentally left one person behind. That person was found dead. The effective of this movie is that it is not easy out there in the battlefield. You have to be alert all the time. And you have to responsible. If you are not then you could lose your own life or cause someone else’s death. The multimedia used in this movie is pictures, audio and sound effects. I want to know more about the person who died and what the war was about? The emotions the movie evokes are sadness, loss and guilty.

My first movie of choice is about a guy who has this disease. He is paralyzed. And that disease slowly starts killing him. His mother finds a medicine online that could help him. But that medicine is not tested. She still wants to buy it. But the company people won’t let her. After arguing a lot she finally got the medicine. The effective of this movie is that you should not lose if someone tells you no. You just keep trying. The multimedia used in this movie is pictures, audio and music. I want to know more about the disease and what it does to your body? And I want to know if that guy got better after taking the medicine? The emotions evoked in this movie are determinedness and victorious. I could use multimedia slides for the stop motion movies we are making in plugged in.

My second movie of choice is about a lady who makes a living out of cheese. She makes her own cheese with cow and goats milk. She has her husband and six adopted children to feed. She sells her cheese to farmers and gets money. Her cheese is really famous. Her name Kelli Estrella. I think the effective of this movie is that don’t rely on others to do all the hard work! Do it yourself. The multimedia used in this movie is pictures. I want to know more about which brand her cheese is normally sold in? The emotions this movie evokes are happiness. I could use multimedia slides in my environmental pictures powerpoint in my elective called plugged in!

Trimester 2 ~ Plugged In - Digital Photography

The pictures I have chosen are a man and a bull. The second one is a woman and a bunch of soldiers fighting the woman.


The first picture shows a man face to face with a huge black bull. He is probably bull fighting.  There is a drop of sweat on the man's nose. And the bull has red paint or blood on one of his horns. The man his staring at the bull he is tired. The mans mouth is hanging open as if he is trying to catch his breath. The man has curly brown hair. There is red a fat red line and a thin white line in the background. You can not see the audience. There is wood under the thin white line. The platform is covered in sand. The surface of the sand look uneven. Both the man and the bull feel sweat slidding in their hair or fur. They hear their own loud spurts of breaths. They can see each others faces. They can taste the little drops of sweat that sneak into their mouth. This pictures feelings are exshaustion. Becasue they probably have been fighting hard. The feeling of tiredness. The determineness to win the match. And the feeling of pressure. The picture does not show the audience so you donn't know if it is a real match or a practice. The man and bull's whole body. How big the fighting ground is. I have had a similar experience. My cousin and I were sent to bye a packet of noodles. When we had bought the noodle packets the shopowner said that we better get going because it was about to rain. So I started running. I was so occupyed with running that I did not notice the bull standing a few feet away form me. I accidentally bumped into it. The bull suddenly got angry and got ready to chase me. The shop owner ran up to the bull and tied it up firmly and told my cousin and I to run.

In my second picture it shows a lone woman who is bieng pushed away from a slope by about 30-40 soldiers. The woman is trying her hardest to push herself back towards the slope. But the soldiers are trying their hardest to push the woman down the slope and away from the people on the slope. There are a line of people watching the woman and the soldiers on top of the slope. There is smoke coming from behind the people on the slope and the right hand side of the picture. The soldiers are dressed in plain black with black helmets. The woman is wearing a gray sweater with a white skirt and checkered blue pants. She has her hair tied back in a braid. Her hair colour is black. Most of the people in the background are either dressed in black and white or gray and white. The setting is very barren and it looks like a storm is about to come.The woman can feels the pressure of many strong hands pushing her. The solders can feels the woman strength against their own. The woman can feel her feet slipping off the small rock s that she is standing on. She can taste the smoke in the air around her. The soldiers can taste the sweat and spit in their mouths. She can smell the distant smell of smoke coming from behind her. So can the soldiers. She can hear the loud grunts that come from under the shiny black helmets. She could see where the soldiers were pushing her. She knew she did not want to go there. The soldiers could see that they were making slow progress but they were winning. Tiredness because the woman is fighting against so many more men alone. The impatience of the slow progress because of one woman. Where the soldiers were pushing the woman. Where the smoke was coming from. All the soldiers. The scene behind the woman. When I was trying to study, because I had a lot of homework my brother tried to come into to my room so he can do soem art because my art supplies are better than his. But I never let him take my supplies out of my room. So he has to do it in my room. But he is very distracting. I told him to go away. But as I closed the door he started pushing againt it. But I started pushing the door so that I could lock it. In the end my brother won because he is much stronger than me.

The reason I chose this picture is because when I saw this picture I thought "What is this"? How can they make things like this? I mean first you see an apple then you cut it open to eat it but you find out that it is a watch then when you want to check the time you find out that half of the watch is a butterfly! That is so cool!

The first time I saw this I was like "What is this"? It cannot be a flower it has spikes on it. But then what is it? I sat there staring at it for like ten minites until my teacher came up to me and said maybe that is the top of a cactus. OHHHH. Thats what it is! This picture is so pretty I never knew that a cactus looked like a flower on the top! I was totally surprised that I didn't figure it out!

I chose this picture becasue I saw how much detail the photographer caught. You can see every little drop on the leaves. It has really good quality. And I think it's really cool. One question that came to my mind was why are the leaves that are closer to the camera lens blurry? I still have not figured out what the answer to that question. But I am going to figure it out!
